Biver Expands the Automatique With 11 New Variants

Biver’s young collection continues to gain momentum as the brand unveils 11 new interpretations of the Automatique, its highly successful second model. The Automatique has quickly become the cornerstone of Biver’s modern identity, built around a proprietary microrotor calibre with a rare zero-reset seconds mechanism. With demand strong and production tightly controlled, the brand is now broadening the lineup with new enamel dials, stone dials, and precious-metal executions.

What We Know

Launched just over a year ago, the Automatique was designed to serve as the foundation for future Biver creations. The watch debuted with a microrotor movement featuring a zero-reset seconds function—a technical flourish found on some of the most respected independent creations in modern watchmaking.

Today’s expansion introduces a mix of grand feu enamel, brushed gold, Clous de Paris, and exotic stone dials, forming a diverse collection unified by the Automatique’s sculpted 39mm case and elegant proportions.

Enamel Dial Variants

The new series includes bordeaux and grey grand feu enamel dials, both housed in 18k yellow gold cases. Biver adds luminous material to the hands and lume plots near the indices an unexpected touch inspired by vintage Patek designs and a clever balance of artistry and practicality.

The case design 39mm in diameter, 10mm thick, with a 47.55mm lug-to-lug draws influence from mid-century icons like the Patek 3448 and certain Spillmann cases.

Metal Dials With Clous de Paris

Two additional dials in brushed gold and Clous de Paris textures appear in platinum and rose gold cases. These versions omit lume entirely, favoring clean, traditional elegance.

Stone Dial Collection

The stone dials form the most visually striking part of the expansion:

  • Blue Quartzite (platinum case; available with standard indices, diamond indices, or blue sapphire indices)

  • Lavender Jade (platinum case; available with or without diamond indices)

  • Mahogany Obsidian (rose gold case)

  • Oeil de Fer (yellow gold case)

Each variant is paired with a coordinated leather strap and pin buckle, with the option to upgrade to Biver’s unique bracelet design—an angular, brick-style form executed in precious metal.

The Movement

Inside all versions is the Calibre JCB-003, a beautifully finished automatic microrotor movement running at 3.5Hz with:

  • 36 jewels

  • 65-hour power reserve

  • Hand-finished bridges with Clous de Paris decoration

  • Display caseback

  • 80m water resistance, impressive for an elegant dress watch

The movement’s standout technical feature remains the zero-reset seconds function, which instantly snaps the seconds hand to zero when setting the time allowing precise synchronization.

Pricing & Availability

All variants are being offered through Biver’s authorized retailers worldwide.
Prices begin around CHF 80,000 and rise to CHF 125,000, with some enamel references listed as price on request.

What We Think

Biver’s decision to expand the Automatique with a suite of stone and enamel dials feels like a natural evolution. Collectors have responded strongly to both categories, and the brand is smart to lean into materials that combine artistic craft with visual richness. Stone dials, in particular, are enjoying a renaissance across high horology—and Biver’s interpretations embrace the trend with depth and refinement.

The enamel models feel timeless and classical, while the stone dials introduce personality and distinction. Among them, the grey enamel in rose gold and the blue quartzite with sapphire indices stand out as especially compelling.

The Automatique was already a strong expression of the Biver aesthetic; this expanded lineup gives collectors a broader canvas of colors, textures, and precious materials—each executed with the brand’s signature finesse.
